Winter Blues

I'm feeling kind of down lately. I'm not sure if it's the cold or the fact that my body aches when it's cold but I'm in a terrible mood lately. Does anyone else suffer from seasonal blues?

Oh well...

On the flip side, I bought, played, and beat The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and WOW... can I say WOW... What an amazing game... probably one of the best I've played in a while and easily one of the best Zelda games.

I've been considering doing some Zelda Fanart from it... it's one of the first Zelda games to blatantly point out there's a deeper connection with Link and Zelda on a more romantic level. I won't lie, I even got misty eyed at times.

Someone asked me recently "Why do you only do romantic themed images?" Honestly, I hadn't noticed until it was pointed out to me... I think it's because I like romance. In Chrono Trigger, you have some underlying sense of relationships, but as in most games, you never really see it or have to stated - with the exception of Crono and Marle getting married at the end. Which made me realize that Toriyama-senpai doesn't really have any romantic depictions of any of his character designs together, and I'm not saying risque but even hugging or kissing one another.

Why do I do mainly Chrono Trigger artwork? ... well if you haven't noticed by my alias I'm a fan, I also do it to do my part as an active member of the Fanbase, in hopes one day Square Enix will humor the Chrono fans will another game and not just a billionth remake of Chrono Trigger... Notice they keep redoing that but NOT Chrono Cross... hmmm....

I'm planning on doing more action work in the future, but I'm terrible at action poses so I've recruited an army of friends and models to help with being my reference models. Now to get more guns, knives, and katanas... XD Maybe a battle axe or two...

Also, YES, I am still writing... I've just been really slow at doing it... not because of lack of inspiration but I'm REALLY friggin busy. I have three jobs... full-time I work in Real Estate Investing, so if you know anyone trying to sell their property please feel free to point them my way. If the property makes financial sense to me and my partners, we will buy the property and cover all of the settlement costs and closing. Part -time, I supplement my income with photography and my commissions... which are awesome, but also very time consuming. The shoot goes on long after the client has left my studio and commissions take a lot of time to sketch, approve, outline, colour, and add finishing touches.

I'll get over this funk, perhaps even produce some dark art from it in a cool fashion Expect to see a lot of Chrono Sovereign designs, as well as Chrono Trigger : Prelude to a Dream and Chrono Shift art as well.
